Kevin Rossi is a writer, digital & social media producer and media relations professional, working as an athletic communications assistant for Drexel University athletics as well as a web producer for Comcast SportsNet’s website, CSNPhilly.com.
He is also working towards his M.S. in communication at Drexel, concentrating on communication, culture and media with an anticipated graduation date in Dec. 2016. This comes after earning his B.S. in sport management with minors in communication and business administration from Drexel in Dec. 2014.
He has held previous positions in both media relations and journalism to begin his career. In media relations, Kevin interned in Temple University’s athletics department for six months before heading to Drexel.
In journalism, Kevin interned in web production at CSNPhilly.com before getting hired in early 2015. He has also served as a staff writer for Philahoops.com and The Triangle, Drexel’s independent student newspaper.
In addition to CSN Philly, Drexel Athletics, Philahoops, Temple Athletics and The Triangle, Kevin’s writing has been featured in The Trentonian, Golf Course Magazine, The Sports Business Exchange, Sports Analytics Blog, LGBT Issues in Sport Blog, Drexel Center for HSM, and Drexel Sports Magazine.
Kevin has also held leadership positions with the Drexel SMTSU. He currently serves as a senior advisor, and has held positions of president, vice president, treasurer and understudy. He was heavily involved in developing The Sports Complex blog, podcast and annual Sport for Social Change Conference.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys reading, writing, golfing, cooking and homebrewing. His academic interests included the convergence of sports, popular culture, culture, society and politics.
